(Hille) Richard.  Upon graduating from Gibsonburg High School, Lucille attended Bowling Green State University (BGSU).  Lucille worked for many years as an executive secretary at both BGSU and at the Commodore Perry Hotel in Toledo, OH before retiring to care for her dear mother.  Lucille married Lucian G. Rowland (Kirbyton, KY) with whom she would have celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary in August 2018.

Throughout her life Lucille enjoyed many personal interests – baking, bookkeeping for the family farm, instrumental and vocal music, church choir, boating and fishing with her husband, and frequent vacation trips to Barkley Lake, KY.  Lucille hosted many a dinner party and holiday celebrations for her extended family and friends – every one of whom will dearly miss her presence in their lives.  Lucille and her husband lived in Toledo, OH, until they moved to Daytona Beach Shores in 1993.  As a lifelong servant of her Lord and Savoir Jesus Christ, Lucille was an active member of several Christian congregations.  Most recently Lucille and her husband were members of  Westminster By The Sea Presbyterian Church in Daytona Beach Shores, FL.

Surviving Lucille are her husband, Lucian Rowland; sister, Wilma Hoy – Falls Church, VA; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and even great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Willis, Walden and Don Richard, her brother-in-law Carl Hoy, and her sisters-in-law Marie, Jean and Eloise Richard.  Her sweet, gentle spirit, engaging sense of humor, and always-encouraging words and gestures made her a very beloved wife, daughter, sister, sister-in-law and aunt.
