Kevin L. Marvin DMD: Born in Joplin, MO, Kevin and his wife Leslie made Volusia County, Florida their permanent home after he received his degrees in both Zoology and Dentistry from the University of Florida where he took great pride in being part of the Gator Nation.
Kevin’s dental practice in Port Orange afforded him the opportunity to meet and befriend hundreds of his amazing patients and bond with an incredible staff that was part of his extended family.
Kevin was many things to many people. The amount of lives he touched and made better spans the globe. He was a wonderful father, mentor, and inspiration to his daughters Abby and Gracie. He believed that his daughters could do anything they set their mind to and constantly reminded his girls that they had the power within them to do anything they wanted. Kevin’s work ethic, dedication to his family and patients, and loyalty to his family is an inspiration to everyone that has ever met him. If anyone ever needed anything, Kevin was there ready to lend a hand.
Kevin’s acts of selflessness are too numerous to mention, just to mention a couple he served AIDS affected children in Namibia, Africa, and served meals to the less fortunate during the holiday seasons. He also loved being a cheer and tennis dad
Kevin was Leslie’s husband, the father of her children, and business partner, but most importantly he was her best friend. For over 20 years they shared all the joys of raising their beautiful family together.
Second only to his love for his family and his faithful furry best friend Murphy, Kevin had a passion and love of golf that kept him smiling. You always knew where you could find him on Fridays!
Besides his 3 best girls, Kevin is survived by his devoted parents Rachel and Robert Marvin, his grandmother Peggy Brown, his aunts Sally Pennington (Steve) and Dolores de la Cuadra (Fernando), his mother in law Louise Jarrett , sister in law Nicole Walen (Joe) along with many friends, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews that adored him.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond, 733 West Granada Boulevard, in Ormond Beach. Visitation with the family will be at 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service, also at the funeral home.
