Emmett Harvey Jackson 85, was called home by his Lord and Savior, Wednesday, November 29, 2017.

Emmett leaves his wife of 61 years Betty, sons Curtis (Sharon), Jason (Susan), daughter Marcia. Grandchildren Tyler (Leah), Clay and Alyssa. Great Grandchildren Riley, Aubrey, Colbie & Sydney. Sisters Ruby, Idell & Patsy (RL), many Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends. Born on November 8, 1932 in Jessup, GA. He is preceded in death by his parents Harvey and Beulah, brothers George L and Donald, sisters Johnnie, Lavada, and Joyce.

Emmett moved to Lake Alfred, Florida in 1957 and later to Deland, FLorida in 1968. He developed an expertise in the Plumbing and Septic Tank Installation, ending his career as owner/operator of Emmett’s Septic Tank Service in Orange City, Florida until his retirement in 1988. Emmett was a member of Eastside Baptist Church where he served as Deacon. Emmett’s strong faith, love of family and kind heartedness are a legacy to all who knew him.

Visitation will be Friday, December 1, 2017 from 6-8pm at Lohmann Funeral Home, Deland, FL. Funeral services will be held at Eastside Baptist Church on December 2, 2017 at 11:00am.
