Clara G. Houllis, 92, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2018. Clara was born in Weirton, West Virginia to Emanuel and Vasilia Gramatikos in 1925. She moved to the Daytona area in 1955 and worked diligently in the family businesses and also enjoyed dealing in the real estate market, Clara was also an active member of Saint Demetrius Orthodox Church of Daytona Beach. Clara was predeceased by both of her husbands, James Sotirin and George Houllis. Those left behind to cherish her memory include her two sons, Nicholas J. Sotirin and Emmanuel J. Sotirin, her grandson, James N. Sotirin, her great-granddaughter Nikki Sotirin who was truly loved by Clara., she also leaves behind her sister-in law, Virginia Sotirin and her three children, Nicholas, George and Mitchell. Three other nephews, George, James and Emmanuel Gramatikos, her cousin, Joanne Fitzgerald-Gramatikos and her two step-children, Michael Houllis and Michelle Bostrom.
A funeral service will be held for Clara today, January 23, 2018 at 10a.m. at Saint Demetrius Greek Orthodox Church of Daytona Beach. Burial will follow at Daytona Memorial Park.
