Charlton (Charlie) Hines, of Deltona, passed away on January 2, 2018 after a lengthly illness.  Charlie was born in Thomasville, GA to Robert C. Hines and Agnes (Gaskins) Hines. He retired from the United States Air Force as a Master Sergeant after 24 years of service.  After the military service, he worked for the State of Florida helping Veterans obtain jobs.  He was also a Senior Veteran Counselor for Volusia County assisting Veterans obtain their benefits.  He was a life time member of the DAV.  Charlie loved his family and was always there for their special events in their lives.  He always made us laugh and so much fun to be around with family and friends.  We will cherish the happy memories he left behind.  Gone...But he will never be forgotten.  He is survived by his loving wife, Jean: son, Jeffery (Leonora) Singeton; daughters,Yvonne (Jim) Richmond, Victoria Rountree, Carolyn (Javi) Canas, Julie Baldwin; sister, Joanna Tucker; grandchildren, great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his mother, father, sister Sallylu Hart, brother Robert Hines (Bobby).  Family will receive friends on Monday, January 8, 2018 at Lohman Funeral Home Deltona Chapel from 3:00p.m. to 7:00p.m.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Lohman Funeral Home Deltona Chapel at 11:00a.m.  Burial will follow at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery at 2:00p.m. with Military Honors.  Please share a memory with the family at lohmanfuneralhomes.com
