Aiden Wilson Tozer Jr. of Ormond Beach, Florida died on Thursday, December 7, 2017. A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 11:00am at Central Baptist Church, Daytona Beach. There will be a viewing at 10:00am and a reception immediately following the service. Aiden was born on September 9, 1924 in Morgantown, West Virginia. He has been a resident of Volusia County since 1947 after being discharged from Daytona Beach Naval Station. It is in Daytona Beach that he met the love of his life, Louise Lawson Smith.

He was a General Contractor and owner of Tozer Construction Company, eventually taking on the role of Head Contractor at Florida Health Care Plans where he retired in 1996. An avid golfer, Aiden and Louise were longtime members at Riviera Country Club in Holly Hill. Above all, Aiden was dedicated to his family and when asked for the secret to a long, loving marriage he responded, “a sense of humor.” Love, generosity, and sense of humor were Aiden’s strongest suit, and part of the legacy he left for his family and all who loved him.  Apart from his family, Aiden’s greatest joy came from his faith and he and Louise were committed members, and Aiden a deacon, at Central Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ada and Dr. A.W. Tozer, and his siblings Forrest, Wendall, Lowell, Raleigh, and Stanley. He was survived by his wife of 67 years, Louise; his daughters Ann Wood (Michael), Rebecca Tozer, and Louise Tozer (Andrea Cain); his grandchildren Jennifer Silva, Sarah Wood, Adrienne Freeland, and Geoffrey Boyle; his great-grandchildren Violet and Avery; and his sister Rebecca Michaels.
