Robert Henne
On April 9th 2017, Robert (Bob) Kniffen Henne passed away at Good Samaritan House in Daytona Beach. Bob was a long time resident of Daytona Beach Shores after moving from Westbrook, Connecticut, in 1987. He was born on October 17, 1917 in Rye, N.Y. to Alphonse and Sarah Henne. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was stationed in Okinawa. After the war, Bob began working in construction with Barber and Coccola of Rye, N.Y. where he would eventually work his way up to vice president over a 43 year career. Bob was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Julie and by his daughter Claudia. He leaves behind his son Robert K. Henne Jr. and his wife Jeanne Cardinal. A Memorial Service will be held for Bob on April 28th at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Daytona Beach beginning at 10:00 am.
